Payroll Problem

Question:  We are having a problem with my husband’s employer: 1. He still owes him money from February 2009 salary. 2. Today is 3 April 2009, and he still did not receive his March salary. 3. He never paid our garnish order for our administration. We have spoken to the Department of Labour but because there is so many complaints against him they are aware of the situation and will accommodate him until he can make payments. Please advise on what we should do. We cannot carry on like this, please help.

Answer:
Currently you have gone the correct route via the Department of Labour which deals with all salary issues. Unfortunately, this is a Government Department and, as such, does not possess speed and efficiency as a forte. Equally there is no other recourse for you and you will have to be patient. I strongly advise that your Hubby finds alternative gainful employment asap.
