Last month I abused my offfice’s landline and I told my manager that I’ll pay for the amount I used, I also gave my manager the wrong account number by accident to pay one of the employees and now it went to the wrong account. He said I also have to pay that amount, I earn a salry of R2500.00 per month and asked I him to please deuct 500.00 from my salary to settle the amount, now he is taking half of the money monthly which leaves me with a very little amount that I cant even do all my things with. Deductions from salary cannot exceed more than 30% so ask your employer to comply with this and recalculate the deduction amounts to equate to 30% and not half. However you must pay for your mistakes.
